Iraq government and Basrah governorate must be cooperated with MOW and MND for solving this crisis. Many actions can be taken for controlling and surrounding this crisis as follows:
1-start with changing the direction of shat Al-Basrah river and Basrah cannel for feeding them to Shat Al-Arab river. This action will increase the water level of shat al-Arab river so, it will prevent the Arab Gulf water, with high salinity, to pass to Iraqi villages.
2-start with construction of a large levee in Al-Fao city, in the southern of Iraq. It will prevent the back flow of saline water from Arab Gulf direction.
3-development the Flash evaporation systems for production of desalinated water instead of reverse osmosis technology.
