Police officials in Iraq's western Anbar province on Wednesday ruled out the possibility that legislative polls in the province would be delayed, saying they had a plan to secure the balloting.

"There will be no delay for the [April 30] elections in Anbar," provincial security chief Ismail al-Mahalawi told Anadolu Agency. "The elections will take place in Anbar along with other provinces."
