Patton Boggs has inked contracts with two foreign governments, according to documents filed with the Department of Justice. The law firm will represent the government of Gabon and the regional government of Iraqi Kurdistan. For the Kurds, Patton will work on issues related to the Immigration and Nationality Act. Specifically, the firm will be looking to get the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) off the list of U.S. terrorist organizations, according to The Hill. Patton will help Gabon with its image inside the United States.
