Saudi Arabia to open Iraq consulate

Haider Ibrahim reports for AKnews:

Saudi Arabia will open an office in Iraq, and later an embassy in the capital, the Hajj and Umrah Commission revealed today.

The office will be used to manage the affairs of pilgrimage during the coming season. This means traveling pilgrims will no longer have to turn to neighboring countries to obtain visas.

Abdul-Mohsen al-Zaid was appointed on February 21 as the non-resident Saudi ambassador to Iraq.
