Iraqi oil exports steady in May

Increased loadings from Basra Gulf help Iraq compensate for slight oil price slump and northern export decline.

Iraq's federal oil exports increased slightly in May, as rising Basra output compensated for lower sales via Turkey.

Overall, federal Iraq crude sales increased from 3.253 million barrels per day (bpd) in April to 3.261 million bpd last month, according to final monthly data * released June 22 by Iraq's Oil Ministry.
