New chiefs for Basra Oil and South Gas companies

Iraq's oil minister swapped the leaders at two of Iraq's most important state-run energy companies.

BASRA - Iraq's Oil Minister has moved the head of the South Gas Company (SGC) to take charge of the Basra Oil Company (BOC), and vice versa.

In a Ministerial Order dated Sept. 7, 2017, posted on Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luiebi's Facebook page – a common platform for his official statements – Ihsan Ismaael was named acting director general of the BOC.
