Turkey’s Genel Enerji is the unnamed company engaged in merger talks with Heritage Oil, the London-listed company that has made big oil discoveries in Uganda and northern Iraq, a person close to the discussion said.
Delphine Straussin reports for the Financial Times the identity of the potential partner has been the subject of intense speculation since Heritage announced on Wednesday June 3 that it was discussing a merger that would be treated as a reverse takeover under UK listing rules.
