The KRG had an agreement with Genel saying that Genel took the risk. Meaning that Genel took the losses or gains.

Associated press use an article from Dagens Næringsliv (DN) as a reference. And it is that article that made this case so big because its based on assumptions that Ashti Hawrami and the KRG benefited financially from that deal which is not the case. The journalist even misread the ministry of natural resources as MINISTER of natural resources and concluded that Hawrami took the money in his pocket. This is pure speculative journalism based on biased opinions.

The Oslo Stock Exchange have all the details about the transactions and they have no issue with KRG in this case.

maan, lets talk about facts and not imagination or fiction. the fact is both DNO and KRG are cleared of wrong doing, as stated in this article, since its OSE who been leacking like a oil smuggling ship in the PERSIAN gulf.

the rest of the story, or more details to be precise as follow:
Ashti Hawrami, KRG "kurdistan regional government" minister of natural resources , paid more than 175 million kronar to buy 4.8 of Shares in DNO, a small Norwegian oil company.
Later on .
According to the newspaper Dagens Naeringsliv, the deal might have enabled Kurdish interests to make a capital gain of about 100 million kroner but that the destination of the money was unknown.

It is noteworthy that the people involved in these dealings are not business people,or did not hail from wealthy backgrounds.

Adam Who do you work for... the KRG? The matter has been referred
for criminal investigation. I think saying that is over is an inaccurate description of events.

imho its krg who should clear oslo stock exchange since its OSE who been spreading false allegations and fabricating rumours against KRG and not the otherway around. krg would have had a very strong case if this were to be settled in court. but thanks to KRG and their proffesionalism and COURAGE they have cleared up this mess created by speculations and false and fabricated rumours. krg proven to be consistent and with a remarkable ability they have prevented this FARCE to get out of control.
