This is the first time that oil is exported from the Kurdistan region. As there is about 30 international oil companies in Kurdistan there must be agreement of payment soon, otherwise who are willing to invest when there is no assurance about payment?

It`s to bad the dispute between KRG and Baghdad take so long time, but they should put personal feuds aside and think about the future of the country.

What is more: not paying on time comes at a huge cost. The contry's risk premium will make prices for contracts soar. Everybody know what is going on with DNO and others in Kurdistan: they're not being paid and they've done their job.

We live in the time of Internet and its kind of hart to hide things.

I suspect this will make the oil companies operating in the kurdish region very caucious. Why invest any more money there when the contracts of the companies that are now exporting are not being honored? The KRG should pay Addax, Genel and DNO from their own budget until they resolve the dispute with Baghdad, or they will lose all credibility.

A few months?! How about you pay them within 30 days as stipulated in their contracts, Mr. Hawrami? The fact that the KRG cannot agree with MOO in Baghdad should not be the problem of the companies that you are legally bound to pay according to their contracts.
