Mixed messages on Ghadhban committee

BAGHDAD – The spokesman for the Iraqi government, Ali al-Dabbagh, Thursday discounted talk of a special committee to review Iraq’s first bid round.

When asked if the former Oil Minister Thamir Ghadhban would head the committee, Dabbagh, on the sidelines of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s unveiling of his election coalition, said “not yet.” He then added: “this is the rumor.”
