The numbers speak volumes

A breakdown of the expected oil production from the 10 fields Iraq awarded for development to foreign oil companies since June 30.

BAGHDAD - Iraq’s oil production could grow from 2.45 million barrels per day (bpd) today to more than 12 million bpd within eight years after this past weekend, when the oil ministry awarded development rights of seven fields to a dozen oil companies.

This follows three fields that were auctioned on June 30, one of which was awarded that day and the other two four months later.
