Ashti Hawrami, the minister of natural resources of the Kurdistan Regional Government, confirmed media reports that Iraq’s deputy oil minister for upstream would lead a delegation to discuss lingering oil issues.
But, he said, the talks will not bring about an end to the impasse over the KRG’s two dozen oil deals that Baghdad opposes or the oil-related legislation that has stalled in the political process.
