BAGHDAD - Iraq's Parliament could vote on a 2015 budget as early as Thursday, now that the Finance Committee has made its final changes to the bill, including significant spending reductions and reallocations.

The amended budget is smaller than the draft passed by the Cabinet one month ago, according to Haider al-Kaebi, a member of the Parliament Finance Committee. The budget now calls for 115 trillion Iraqi dinars ($95.8 billion) of total spending, down from 125.2 trillion dinars ($104.3 billion), and a deficit of 23 trillion dinars ($19.2 billion), down from 25.4 trillion dinars ($21.2 billion).
