Q&A: Oil Minister Adil Abd al-Mahdi

BAGHDAD - Iraq needs to sell more oil to close a budget gap and fund its fight against the Islamic State (IS) group, but doing so requires tough negotiations with both oil companies and the autonomous Kurdistan region.
These are just two of the many challenges that Adil Abd al-Mahdi has taken on since he became oil minister nearly seven months ago.
