Al-Qaida in Iraq is a nimble, adaptable outfit meshing with other groups with similar goals, the claimed culprits of the August and October bombings and likely readying for more before the elections, according to General Ray Odierno, top U.S. commander in Iraq.
The group has claimed responsibility for the bombings in August and October in the capital that killed and injured more than one thousand people.
