Houston firm likely to land Nahr Bin Omar deal

A deal likely to be signed later this month could be the first win in Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luiebi's effort to reduce gas flaring and unlock the fuel and revenue potential of its massive natural gas reserves.

Houston-based Orion Gas Processors and the Oil Ministry have agreed on a project to capture and treat gas from Nahr Bin Omar field, eliminating flaring and creating liquid and gas products for Iraq.
