Iraq finalizes IOC list for May 7 bidding round

Iraq's Oil Ministry plans to accept bids for nine oil fields and exploration blocks on May 7, just five days before the country's national elections.

The plans, announced Monday, set a tight timeframe for both the Oil Ministry and the 26 companies that have been authorized to take part in the contract auction – the first since 2012.
