BASRA - The state-run Basra Oil Company (BOC) is not only the owner of Iraq's largest producing oil fields, but it is also in charge of the export infrastructure the country relies on for more than 90 percent of state revenues.

In an interview with two journalists, including Iraq Oil Report, the director general of the BOC, Ihsan Ismaael, said the replacement of Shell at Majnoon with subcontractors is not finalized yet, and that a key water injection pipeline is going to be tendered separate from a mega infrastructure project being negotiated with ExxonMobil.
