Attack on Umm Qasr port thwarted

BASRA - Iraqi security forces in Basra foiled an imminent attack on Umm Qasr port Monday, confiscating rockets and defusing bombs.

Explosives experts "managed to dismantle four guided rockets just 500 meters from Umm Qasr silo," said Jabbar al-Saadi, the chairman of the Basra Security Committee.
