ERBIL/SULAIMANIYA - Iraqi Kurdistan’s oil sector is under attack. The Tawke and Ain Sifni oil fields were struck by armed drones on Wednesday, after drones hit two other fields on Monday and Tuesday.

The attacks represent an unprecedented level of security threat to Kurdistan's oil fields and economic lifeblood — a broad and sustained campaign by armed groups with the capacity to inflict crippling damage, which the Iraqi government is either unable or unwilling to control.
