Iraq's largest state oil company is expanding production capacity and building new infrastructure as it waits out an OPEC quota.

BASRA - The state-run Basra Oil Company (BOC) has borne the brunt of Iraq’s efforts to cut production in compliance with an OPEC agreement – but it’s also ready for a rebound.

Capacity is expanding at the ExxonMobil-operated West Qurna 1, the Eni-operated Zubair field, and smaller fields operated by BOC. And at the Majnoon field, floodwaters have been contained and projects are underway to provide longer-term protection.
