Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is planning to visit Baghdad to participate in the International Conference on Combating Terrorism, scheduled for early November. According to well-informed sources, the Iranian President is to meet with Iraqi officials to sign security and economic agreements between the two countries, as well as to discuss the developments in the Syrian crisis.

Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Hassan Danaii had previously announced this visit without specifying its exact date.
