The Kurdistan Regional Government has seated its new electricity minister.
Mohammed Mawti was sworn in Wednesday.
The position was opened following the July elections. The two main parties, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, split most of the ministerial positions. Per the agreement the electricity minister's post was given to the Socialist Party, to which Mawti belongs.
