A Ministry of Interior confirmed the deaths to Iraq Oil Report. The source said it took place in the “benzene unit” of the refinery.
According to a Daura Refinery official, the tanker had been recently recovered from a smuggling operation and was in the process of being emptied into a storage unit in the eastern part of the refinery.
