Association of Muslim Scholars condemns Rumaila contract

BAGHDAD – The organization representing Sunni Iraqi religious leadership have issued a statement against the deal finalized last week between the Iraqi Oil Minister and partners BP and the Chinese National Petroleum Corp.

The Association of Muslim Scholars called the deal to develop the Rumaila field "at the very least suspicious."
