BASRA - More than 500 workers in Iraq's state-run South Oil Company (SOC) rallied outside its headquarters Wednesday, carrying banners calling for the ouster of Director General Dhia Jaffar and the payment of two years' worth of bonuses.

"We all demand our usurped rights and housing they've promised us with," said Hilal Jaber, "so we went out all day to demand this, and we will not keep silent about our rights after today."
