FALLUJAH - A large gang of gunmen attacked a facility at the Akkas gas field in Anbar province Monday, killing three workers and kidnapping another.

The Korean Gas Corp. (Kogas) is developing the Akkas field, which holds an estimated 5.6 trillion cubic feet of gas, under a 2011 contract with the Iraqi Oil Ministry. The attack took place in the al-Ibrahimi area of Anbar, 460 kilometers west of Baghdad, where subcontractor Baider al-Arab has been building a power plant intended to serve Akkas operations.
