In a rare instance of violence, a Peshmerga officer was targeted in a car bomb attack Tuesday morning in the Kurdistan regional capital of Erbil.At around 9 a.m. the bomb detonated in the Kasnazan area east of downtown Erbil, according to people within earshot of the explosion.
