Iraq’s health ministry announced that cholera cases have surpassed 1,800 cases. Most of the new cases are being reported just west of Baghdad and in Babil province. Iraqi security forces claim to have found 365 bodies belonging to militants in 19 mass graves across the Baiji area. It is unclear how they were able to identify the bodies so quickly or how long the victims were dead. Besides those found in the mass graves, at least 50 more Iraqis were killed, and 12 were wounded.
