During clashes with police in Shohada neighborhood to the west of the restless Mosul city, three gunmen were killed.
Col. Mahdi al-Gharawi, chief for 3rd police division in Mosul, told AKnews that the gunmen used light arms and hand grenades to attack police.
One of the gunmen a foreigner and an Arab committed suicide by exploding some devices fastened to his body after police killed two of his companies, Col. Gharawi said, without naming the nationality of the suicide bomber.
