Sixty-Well Drilling Tender Announced for Iraq's Maysan Province Iraq's newly founded state-owned Maysan Oil Company (MOC) has published tenders for the drilling of up to 60 wells on its oil and gas fields, with the bid submission deadline set for 15 May, Associated Press (AP) reports.

The tenders are part of a programme to raise Iraq's crude production by between 300,000 and 500,000 b/d before the end of 2010 and signal the scope of potentially lucrative contracts available for international drilling contractors and service companies in the country over the coming years.
