Baghdad blacklists TPAO without explanation

Amidst rising tension between Baghdad and Ankara, Turkish state firm TPAO has been removed from a southern Iraq exploration contract it was awarded five months ago.

Iraq has expelled the Turkish Petroleum Company (TPAO) from the exploration contract it was awarded five months ago.

The government offered no reasoning behind the decision, but it appears that regional politics are to blame.
