Basra bomb targets police leader

BASRA - Four people were injured in Basra Sunday by the explosion of a bomb targeting a senior police official.

Brig. Gen. Haidar Abbood Salman, the manager of interior affairs for the Basra police, was injured when a "sticky bomb" detonated on his car, according to a security official in the province. Three civilians were also hurt.
