BASRA - The Basra Oil Company (BOC) and Chevron on Thursday agreed to terms of a confidentiality agreement that could see the U.S. oil giant study – and boost production from – the state-run Luhais, Tuba, and Subba fields.

BOC officials made the announcement following a meeting with Chevron, though they released few details. The broader deal appears to be similar in structure to the Oil Ministry's engagement with BP to study and generate development plans for Kirkuk-area fields.
