Iraq's Oil Ministry has initiated steps to replace the head of the Kirkuk-based North Oil Company (NOC) and has brought back the former head of the Dhi Qar Oil Company to lead the company, at least in an acting capacity, according to multiple Iraqi oil industry officials and ministerial orders shown to Iraq Oil Report.

Farid al-Jadir, who has been director general of the NOC since 2015, will be formally retired at the end of this year.
