Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region will send 100,000 barrels per day (bpd) into the Iraq-Turkey Pipeline this month, billing its move as a "goodwill initiative" to help solve payment disputes and re-start broader oil negotiations with Baghdad.

In a statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) released Wednesday, Natural Resources Minister Ashti Hawrami said exports would start this week, from the Tawke field operated by Norway's DNO, the Taq Taq field operated by Anglo-Turkish Genel Energy, and the Khormala Dome operated by KAR Group, an Iraqi firm.
