Garraf deal official

Petronas and Japex finalize development deal for Garraf, as ministry readies for another week of oil contract signings and negotiations.

BAGHDAD - Iraqi oil officials have signed the deal with Malaysia's Petronas and Japex of Japan to develop the Garraf field, in Dhi Qar province, the third such deal with foreign oil firms in two months.

Later Friday Italy's Eni with partners Occidental Petroleum of the United States and the Korean Gas Corp. will make official the Zubair oil field contract. Next week three more deals are to be signed.
