Iraq oil exports drop in February

Iraq is still having trouble keeping exports up to summer 2008 levels when oil prices were at all time highs.

Oil prices are slightly up on January but north and south oil exports slumped in February, new data from the Iraq Oil Ministry show.

Iraq average oil exports were 1.8 million barrels per day (bpd) in February. Oil sales from Basra, where most of the oil is located and sent to market from, dropped from 1.38 million bpd in January to 1.35 last month.
