Iraqi oil production increased by about 50,000 barrels per day (bpd) in May, boosted by the continuing recovery of the Rumaila oil field and elevated output in Kirkuk.
Fields managed by the federal government averaged about 4.48 million bpd in May, up from 4.43 million bpd in April, according to an Iraq Oil Report analysis based on data gathered independently from each producing field. Projects managed by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) held steady at about 320,000 bpd.
