Iraq continued to produce and export oil at nearly record-high rates in October, bolstering the country's negotiating position as it heads into OPEC quota talks.

The Oil Ministry has not issued preliminary export figures for October, as it typically does at the end of each month, but an Iraq Oil Report estimate shows the federal government sold an average of about 3.3 million barrels per day (bpd) of oil, and the country as a whole – including the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) – produced over 4.6 million bpd.
