Iraqi exports hold above 3.4 million bpd in August

Iraq is pushing the limits of its outdated southern export infrastructure as a dispute with Turkey is keeping the northern pipeline system offline.

Iraq exported 3.423 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil in August, a slight fall from 3.444 million bpd in July, according to preliminary Oil Ministry data.*

A rise in international oil prices helped lift Iraq’s earnings from oil sales to $8.998 billion in August from $8.294 billion in July, according to the ministry.
