Iraqi oil sales steady in August

Export levels were unchanged from July to August as authorities in Baghdad and Erbil continue talks to resume northern crude flows to Turkey.

Iraqi oil exports held steady in August at 3.38 million barrels per day (bpd),* according to a senior Oil Ministry official, virtually unchanged compared to July.

Revenues appeared to dip on weakening global prices. According to an Iraq Oil Report estimate based on preliminary export figures, benchmark prices, and Iraqi pricing formulas, Iraq earned about $6.95 billion in August, down from $7.185 billion in July.
