A gas pipeline from the Ajeel field remains offline after it was bombed on Oct. 3, depriving Kirkuk-area power stations of a major source of feedstock.

"The maintenance teams of the North Oil Company fixed the damaged part and operated the station to pump the gas, but discovered leaks in other parts of the pipeline," said a senior official with the state-run North Oil Company (NOC). "Thus, the Ajeel station was shut down and work currently continues to fix the leaks."
