Lukoil readies West Qurna 2 for 120k bpd start

QURNA - Russian firm Lukoil will officially start the West Qurna 2 oil field at 120,000 barrels per day (bpd) and ramp up to 400,000 bpd by year's end, officials said during a tour of the field this week.
"Today, our work will finally see the light, as pumping will start within three days," said Lukoil Spokesman Rassan Sednavi.
