May production rises to greet high prices
Efforts to tap Kirkuk's stranded capacity and output increases in Basra help Iraq take advantage of recent oil price strength.

Iraq's oil production in May rose to its highest level so far this year, as the country seeks to take advantage of strong oil prices.
In combination, the federal government and the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) produced 4.59 million barrels per day (bpd), according to an Iraq Oil Report analysis based on data gathered from each of the country's fields.
