Mine clearance wrapping up in Block 10

NASSIRIYA - Iraq has nearly completed a project to clear mines and other unexploded ordnance from an exploration block contracted to Lukoil and Japan's Inpex.

Essa al-Fayadh, the head of the Ministry of Environment's ordnance clearance department, said that demining operations in the areas of Dhi Qar and Muthanna provinces that make up exploration Block 10 will be done "soon."
