North Oil says no reinjection

BAGHDAD - A recently released audit of Iraq’s economy in 2008 criticized the state-run North Oil Co. of reinjecting oil into the fields and causing damage, an allegation the company’s leader categorically denies.

"Actually, in 2008 and 2009, we were producing rather than injecting," said Mannah al-Obeidi, NOC director general.
