Turkish officials blamed sabotage for the fire that erupted late yesterday on the pipeline carrying Iraqi crude to a Mediterranean port from where it is transported to world markets, Anatolia news agency reported. ERBIL - Iraq's crude export pipeline to Turkey was taken offline in a suspected attack by a Kurdish resistance group as domestic tensions rise and regional conflicts intensify.

The attack took place less than three weeks after a similar attack on the same location, attributed to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which has been emboldened by Syrian Kurds' nascent autonomy amid the revolution there.
