KHOR AL-ZUBAIR - The Oil Ministry is pressing forward with an array of projects designed to capture and process the associated gas that is produced along with crude oil at fields throughout southern Iraq.

As the director general of the state-run South Gas Company, Ali Salman Majeed sits at the center of these efforts.
