Q&A: Bassim Mohammed Khudair, deputy oil minister for upstream

BASRA - As the deputy Oil Minister for Upstream, Bassim Mohammed Khudair has played a central role in the negotiations to restart northern pipeline exports from the Kurdistan region via the federal government’s oil marketing company, SOMO.
Those exports resumed on Sept. 27, at an intial rate of about 195,000 barrels per day (bpd) according to a Wednesday statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
